Zimbabwe's first medical marijuana product hits the market

In a groundbreaking step, Zimbabwean medical company Ivory Medicinal recently officially launched its medical marijuana product line, CannaQure, with the aim of presenting the healing potential of the ancient plant of cannabis, The Chronicle recently reported.

Ivory Medicinal, a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified supplemental medicine manufacturer by the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ), is committed to redefining the concept of health in Zimbabwe through innovative products and research. The launch of the CannaQure range is a significant result of its efforts in this area.

According to a company press release, the CannaQure product line offers a range of cannabis-based therapeutic products designed to help patients who suffer from chronic pain, stress, sleep disorders, and other ailments. These products are rich in cannabinoids, specifically cannabidiol (CBD), and are designed to provide patients with an alternative to traditional medicine, bringing better health and symptom relief. At the same time, the products are not psychoactive and do not give patients a “high”, and all products are carefully formulated and adhere to strict safety and quality standards set by the MCAZ.
